Contests
REAL: Regarding Arts and Letters is proud to announce the following poetry and fiction prizes:
AWARD: $500 plus publication for each genre
The Larry D. Thomas Poetry Prize
$10 entry fee/three poems
DEADLINE: August 1, 2010
FOR: Any poet
Please include:
- A cover letter on the top of the manuscript with the poet’s contact information
(including e-mail), a brief bio, and the titles of the submitted poems.
- Do not include identifying information on the manuscript itself.
- The manuscript should consist of 3 poems not totally more than ten pages.
- Poems should be typed, single-spaced, no more than one poem per page.
- Poems must be previously unpublished (this includes websites).
The William J. Stuckey Memorial Prize for Fiction
$10 entry fee/one story (up to 5000 words)
DEADLINE: August 1, 2010
FOR: Students enrolled in BFA, MFA (or MA with Creative Writing emphasis),
and Ph.D. programs only
Please include
- A cover letter on the top of the manuscript with the writer’s contact information
(including e-mail), program affiliation, a brief bio and the title of the submission
- Do not include identifying information on the manuscript itself.
- The manuscript should consist of a single story not totally more than ten pages.
- Stories should be typed, double-spaced.
- Stories must be previously unpublished (this includes websites).
Faculty, staff and students affiliated with SFASU are ineligible.
ALL entries will be considered for publication
